Job Description

The QAQC Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining quality control procedures at site to ensure all works are executed in compliance with project specifications, contractual requirements, and relevant standards. The role includes coordinating inspections, material testing, and documentation, as well as supporting the Senior QAQC Engineer and QAQC Manager in achieving project quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct weekly site surveillance to ensure compliance to project specification and contracts requirements for work executed at site. Prepare and submit surveillance reports, activity summaries, and deliverable status updates to the QAQC Manager within the stipulated timeline. Monitor the progress and closure of Request for Inspection (RFI), Method Statement (MST), and Material Submission Approval (MSA) to ensure compliance with contractual requirements. Prepare Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) for Method Statements to identify points of inspection, responsible authorities, related documents, and acceptance criteria for the works as per specifications and contract requirements. Coordinate and witness site inspections, trial mixes, sampling, and material testing activities in accordance with the project specifications, ITP, and contract requirements. Identify non-conformances at site, initiate and follow up on Non-Compliance Reports (NCR), and ensure timely implementation and verification of corrective actions. Support the Senior QAQC Engineer and QAQC Manager in the execution of any additional quality-related duties or assignments as directed in addition to those described in this job description.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in construction projects (infrastructure, railway or buildings) Familiar with Quality Management System and quality documentation

Competencies Required

Knowledge of construction quality procedures, standards, and inspection processes. Understanding of Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), Method Statements (MST), and Material Submissions (MSA). Ability to interpret project specifications, drawings, and test results. Familiarity with non-conformance management, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.

Skills & Abilities

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality compliance. Good coordination and communication skills with site and office teams. Competent in preparing reports and maintaining QAQC records. Ability to work under minimal supervision and meet project timeline

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
