Job Description

Job Purpose:

Oversees quality assurance and control on construction projects, ensuring works meet standards, specifications, and regulations, and coordinates inspections, testing, and compliance on site.

Qualification & Requirement:

Possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or any related field. Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a QAQC Engineer or in a similar role within the construction industry. Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and quality control procedures. Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams Good in English and Bahasa Malaysia both in writing and communication. Computer literate and proficient in Ms. PowerPoint, Ms. Word, Ms. Excel, and AutoCAD. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Willing to be relocated to Sibu, Sarawak. Applicants from Sibu, Sarawak will be given a priority.

Main Responsibilities:

Implement and maintain project-specific quality plans, procedures, and control measures set by superior / management, in accordance with project requirements. Review project documentation, method statements, ITPs, and technical submissions. Prepare and submit all necessary technical documents and quality-related submissions prior to commencement of site activities. Supervise and monitor construction works to ensure compliance with contracts, approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Arrange, witness, and document testing activities (e.g., material tests, functional tests, commissioning tests) in accordance with project specifications and industry standards. Coordinate and liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers on all quality-related matters. Work closely with engineering and project teams to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality requirements. Ensure that all delivered materials delivered conform to the standard specifications and the project's requirement. Prepare, maintain, and update QA/QC documentation, reports, and test records. Record, report, and follow up on inspection findings, non-conformances, and corrective actions. Conduct final inspections, participate in joint handover inspections, and ensure compilation of as-built drawings, test reports, and quality documents prior to issuance of the Certificate of Practical Completion. To perform all other duties as and when assigned from time to time by the superior / management.

Pay: RM2,619.72 - RM4,500.00 per month
