The Quality Assurance Executive is responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of the company's quality management systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, regulatory standards, and customer requirements within the rail engineering sector. This role supports continuous improvement initiatives, internal audits, supplier evaluations, and overall quality governance.
Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and relevant rail industry standards (e.g., SPAD, KTMB, SIRIM).
Review and improve QA processes, SOPs, and quality documentation.
Plan and conduct internal quality audits; assist in external audits and certifications.
Manage non-conformance reports (NCR), corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes, and quality investigation reports.
Collaborate with project, engineering, and production teams to address quality issues and ensure compliance throughout project lifecycles.
Monitor and evaluate supplier quality performance; assist in supplier audits.
Analyze quality data and trends to identify areas for improvement.
Provide QA input for project tenders, procurement reviews, and technical submissions.
Organize quality training sessions and promote quality awareness across departments.
Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of quality inspection tools and measuring equipment.
Requirements and skills
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in a quality assurance role, preferably in the engineering, rail, or manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and other applicable quality standards.
Experience with internal audit processes and document control systems.
Familiarity with rail engineering project requirements and quality assurance in infrastructure projects.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and QMS software tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Team player with proactive and hands-on approach.
