The opportunity
EY are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join the Quantitative Services team within the overall Malaysia Tax practice. In this role, you will be performing detailed quantity and cost estimates using standard cost manuals and construction drawings for depreciation studies. This includes analyzing construction drawings, contractors\' payment applications, and completing a construction cost analysis and report.

Your key responsibilities

• You\'ll need the ability to read/ interpret architectural and engineering drawings/specifications.
• You\'ll assist in preparing report (training will be provided, no experience is required).
• You\'ll attend meetings and liaise with clients, and consultants in the administration of projects.
• You\'ll assist in management of the engagement including delivery, billing, etc.

To qualify for the role you must have

• Must possess a diploma/ degree in Quantity Surveying or Building.
• Minimum 2- 3 years\' experience in consultant/ contractor services.
• Strong management skills and highly self-motivated.
• English fluency is required, both writing and speaking.
• Good in Microsoft office especially excel.
• Experience in pre and post contract process- have been involved in the full process of preparing costs plans, Bills of Quantities and contract documents compilation and final accounts.

Ideally, you\'ll also have

• Experience working in a professional consultancy/ commercial environment
