Responsibilities: 1. Seek innovation to identify new targets, technologies and approaches to continually advance the research programmes of oil palm plant breeding, tissue culture, pathology and agronomy. 2. Maintain excellent laboratory functionalities in terms of environment, biosafety, hygiene, security. Skills: 1. Deep scientific and technological knowledge in microbiology and biochemistry. 2. Excellent knowledge of genomics and proteomics research. 3. Demonstrated a willingness to learn and apply cross-discipline approaches to solving problems 4. Good organisation skills and capacity to prioritise 5. A good command of written and spoken skills in English and Malay. Requirements: 1. BSc., MSc/MRes in microbiology, biochemistry or equivalent. 2. Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.70.
