Role Overview We are searching for a Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) Specialist to oversee the implementation of safety standards, policies, and procedures, as well as to maintain and enhance our quality standards at our new business, which is set to commence production of intermediate bulk containers in 2024. This plant is located at Kawasan Perindustrian, Pasir Gudang, Johor. This position will suit a person committed to safeguarding the health and safety of colleagues and passionate about driving continuous improvement initiatives . Our exciting role offers you the opportunity to ensure the highest levels of product quality and process efficiency through rigorous testing and implementing robust quality assurance protocols. Typical Accountabilities Establish, implement, and conduct quality assurance and environmental, health, and safety training programs. Perform internal audits, administer external audits, and manage on-site coordination of ISO certification. Develop and enforce safety standards and policies to prevent accidents and occupational health risks. Purchase safety equipment, ensure adherence to required safety regulations in coordination with government agencies. Collaborate with safety vendors, maintain licenses, records, and reports in compliance with regulatory requirements. Perform regular site inspections, assess potential hazards and risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Lead accident investigations, prepare findings reports, and recommend preventive measures. Investigate and address customer queries, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions while evaluating their effectiveness. Oversee laboratory analysis testing. Review monthly customer inventory reports and reconcile variances. Communicate team objectives, review the performance of team members, enforce company policies, and foster positive colleague relationships. Requirements Education and demonstrated experience in quality assurance and occupational health and safety within an industrial or related environment. Possess NIOSH certification and knowledge about legal requirements and local Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) laws (ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000) Able to demonstrate excellent analytical, training, and interpersonal skills. Able to communicate well in English and Malay.
