Job Description

MAIN SCOPE AND GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
Responsible for maintains safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Supervises security and safety activities of Security staffs to ensure efficient discharge of their duties and responsibilities in accordance with Hotel standards and procedures.

2. Ensures coordination of activities of security staffs detailed inside and outside the Property.

3. Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.

4. Obtains help by sounding alarms.

5. Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.

6. Controls traffic by directing drivers.

7. Initiates and supervises the conduct of investigations; and submits the investigation report to the Security Manager or the Management without delay.

8. Supervises the implementation of the system of movement control of packages, materials, and property into and out of the Hotel.

9. As the Training Officer and Coordinator of the Department he prepares the programs of instruction and supervises Department training activities primarily on courtesy and discipline, physical security, crime prevention, customer service, and first-aid and safety.

10. As directed, he liaises with the security agency in matters pertaining to the administration of the contracted security staff and the law enforcement agencies in regard to crime prevention and investigation.

11. Prepares and submits justifications for changes in security staffs and equipment.

12. Keeps all security staffs aware of threats of breaches of security and of their individual responsibilities to detect and thwart such threats.

13. Handover duty to be conduct every shift and need to brief Security Manager.

14. Inspects guard posts on a regular basis to ensure a safe environment.

15. Supervises all activities of security staffs to maintain compliance with and proper application of department regulations as well as hotel policy.

16. Reports any unusual employee or guest behavior.

17. Records daily events in a logbook.

18. Ensures hotel premises is safe, reports broken bulbs, blocked stairwells etc.

19. Checks on staff lockers and bathrooms regularly.

20. Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

21. Checks and ensures that the job assigned has been effectively completed on the timely basis and according to hotel\xe2\x80\x99s expectation.

22. Attends scheduled employee training and periodic reviews on departmental responsibilities in case of emergencies.

23. Being part of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) member in the hotel when the need arises.

24. Ensures that all staff are aware of guidelines governing complaints handling.

25. Encourages staff to make decisions at customer contact, and ensures staff is aware of the responsibility and established authority limits at all times.

26. Personally, attends to all guest complaints immediately and initiates immediate resolution.

27. Adheres to specified hygiene and personal appearance standards of the Hotel.

28. Adheres to the provisions outlined in the Employee Handbook, Disciplinary Code and Rules & Regulations.

29. Maintains the highest standard of professionalism, ethics and attitude towards clients and colleges.
