Purpose of the position:

This position also provides administrative support to Business Development/ Account managers in connection with customer inquiries, sales controlling and business implementation. This position also will assists Commercial Manager by providing administrative support in connection with sales planning & reporting.

Key Task:

  • Provide administrative support to the account managers in relation to the preparation of sales collateral material, quotations, and customer related applications.
  • Maintain customer rate cards, administer rate increases and schedules as well as prepare quotations by applying the pricing policy.
  • Creation of 'Client Rate or Quotation' in operational system
  • Assist account manager in new business implementation.
  • Assist Commercial Manager to maintain rate folder accordingly to ISO requirement including guiding new hires to ensure the folder is updated accordingly.
  • Responsible for all administrative task of the department.
  • With the support of OPS staff, monitor and assure operational excellence for assigned customer account(s) with a focus on standard operational KPI's, customer specific KPI's, data quality, EDI compliance
  • Proactively drive continuous improvement of service delivery for the assigned account(s), detect and analyze sub-optimal performance, and initiate improvement actions
  • For service deteriorations / deficiencies, ensure that a proper root cause analysis is performed (either by self or by OPS, depending on size of account), escalate to relevant parties when necessary, and manage the communication with the customer.
  • Additional to above tasks:
  • Any other job-related tasks as assigned by the superior.
  • Adherence to the Code of Conduct policy of the DSV Group
Experience and Education:
  • Diploma in Business administration / supply chain / commercial background.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Sea & Air Freight Forwarding industry.
  • Good written and spoken English. Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin or any other local dialects.
  • Good understanding of company's service offering and pricing policy
  • Local market knowledge (customers, competitors, suppliers)
  • Basic competency with MS Office (Word, Excel & Powerpoint) and operational system.
