A Sales Manager (Renewable Energy) job has become available at a Malaysian turnkey provider of solar and energy efficiency solutions. About the Sales Manager (Renewable Energy) Role: Reporting to the Executive Director, you will be responsible for providing turnkey solutions to clients with focus on green energy, e.g. solar, energy efficiency, energy management. Key Responsibilities:
Develop a deep knowledge of solar and energy efficiency products, solutions, and value propositions
Create solution proposals, presentations, quotations, participate in tender preparations and perform customer communications clearly
Gather customer business needs to tailor the right solution with products and solutions to help the customer succeed in its project goals
Anticipate potential energy solution challenges for the proposed project plan and bring those to the customer attention with a resolution
Facilitate smooth transition from sales order securing by orienting the engineering and project teams to the project background and introduction to the client
Research (latest industry trends, electricity industry regulations, etc.), scope, estimate and present solutions for various applications with different clients and market segments
Act as a key conduit between our business development team and our engineers and partners/clients
Assist in analysis/preparation of annual/bi-annual sales targets and report to management on sales performance
Jointly perform risk analysis and opportunities in each tender/sales enquiry and determine mitigation measures (e.g. insurance exposure, quality of client, payment, contractual, legal terms, etc.)
The successful Sales Manager (Renewable Energy) must have prior sales experience either in the solar business or energy efficiency/energy management industries. Key Requirements:
Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering or equivalent
Minimum of five years of sales experience within the solar industry or any energy efficiency/energy management industry
Experience in electrical infrastructure, solar photovoltaic, energy efficiency is a bonus
Proven sales performance with specific sales achieved with private and or government based commercial/industrial clients
Ability to explain basic technical product/services presentation is necessary
Ability to plan, strategise, prioritise, and execute resource/time to achieve maximum results in achieving sales orders
High productivity with all departments related to the Sales team primary function of securing sales orders
Ability to get tasks and duties done decisively
