The Senior Accountant will oversee key financial activities for the manufacturing business, ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with accounting standards. This role partners closely with operations, production, and management to provide financial insights that support effective decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
Review and finalize journal entries, balance sheet schedules, and account reconciliations.
Review month-end and year-end consolidation packs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Monitor fixed assets, depreciation, and capital expenditure tracking.
Cost & Manufacturing Accounting
Analyze material variances, overhead absorption, labor efficiency, and production yield.
Prepare and analyze inventory valuation, WIP movement, and slow-moving/obsolete stock provisions.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
Support annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes.
Provide insights on cost trends, production expenses, and margin performance.
Track financial KPIs and identify drivers behind variances to budget/forecast.
Internal Controls & Compliance
Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, statutory regulations, and audit requirements.
Strengthen internal controls around purchasing, inventory, production, and cost allocation.
Liaise with external auditors and tax agents during statutory audits.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Operations, Production, and within Finance teams.
Support automation initiatives and process improvements.
Provide financial guidance for operational initiatives.
Any other ad-hoc projects as deemed necessary in supporting the Finance team
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA) preferred.

Ability to work independently with high attention to detail and tight deadlines.
