Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting

Maintain the accurate recording and classification of all entries to the general ledger. Manage the accurate and timely completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end account closings. Support the preparation of consolidated group accounts.

2. General Ledger & Reconciliation

Handle all general ledger activities, confirming the correctness of every journal entry. Complete and review all necessary account reconciliations, such as bank, intercompany, accruals, and prepayments. Ensure all fixed asset registers are current and validate the correctness of depreciation calculations. Maintain the accuracy of accounting records through continuous monitoring and correction of discrepancies.

3. Internal Controls & Audit

Establish and maintain all internal financial controls and procedures. Act as the main liaison for internal auditors during the audit engagement.

4. Team Leadership & Support

Lead and guide junior accounting and finance team members. Check junior team members' work to verify accuracy and compliance. Deliver training and professional development to strengthen the team's skills.

5. System & Process Improvement

Partner with multiple teams to improve and streamline accounting and reporting procedures. Provide support for digitalization and automation efforts to modernize finance operations. Address accounting system problems and propose solutions for process enhancement.

Requirements:

1. Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent.

2. Experience

Minimum 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role. Audit firm experience is an added advantages.

3. Accounting Software

Proficient in Auto Count and UBS accounting software.

4. Soft skills

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
