Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting

Responsible for the accurate recording and categorization of all transactions in the general ledger. Manage and execute accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings. Responsible for assisting in the preparation of consolidated group accounts.

2. general Ledger & Reconciliation

Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by reviewing and processing accurate journal entries. Manage the reconciliation process for bank accounts, intercompany balances, accruals, and prepayments. Manage the fixed asset register and ensure proper calculation and posting of depreciation. Responsible for monitoring and rectifying inconsistencies within accounting records.

3. Internal Controls & Audit

Responsible for the creation and maintenance of internal financial controls and processes. Serve as the liaison for internal auditors during the audit engagement.

4. Team Leadership & Support

Provide guidance and oversight to junior accountants and finance assistants. Responsible for reviewing junior staff output to ensure adherence to accuracy and compliance standards. Responsible for providing training and development to improve the team's skills and capabilities.

5. System & Process Improvement

Work closely with cross-functional departments to enhance efficiency in accounting and reporting. Contribute to finance digitalization and automation projects. Analyze accounting system problems and propose solutions for process optimization.

Requirements:

1. Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent.

2. Experience

Minimum 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in n senior or supervisory role. Audit firm experience is an added advantage.

3. Accounting Software

Proficient in Auto Count and UBS accounting software.

4. Soft Skills

Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
