Job Description


Under compliance activities -Periodically perform post-facto compliance checks in various areas such as procurement, travel claims and other financial, payroll or human resources transactions based on GSC/COR plan of work to ensure that those transactions are performed in compliance with related WHO rules, regulations, and procedures -Develop and discuss findings and recommendation and, in order to emphasis on findings and recommendations for improvement, draft PowerPoint reports/highlights based on the compliance logs including statistical data, discrepancies identified and areas of non-compliance -Under supervisor\'s guidance, develop, when needed, SOPs, tools and guideline for data analysis and follow up regarding post facto check findings and recommendations; -Perform related duties as assigned Under administrative activities -Ensure the smooth running of the Director\'s office in close collaboration with other administrative staff of the Global Service Center; -Draft general administrative correspondences; -Analyze all incoming correspondence in light of possible background material required for appropriate action to be taken by the Director, or points to be taken into consideration in the documents prepared by the Director, identifying and highlighting areas that require immediate attention or action in view of deadlines approaching; -Screen and receive visitors/telephone calls with discretion and tact; make appointments for the Director; -Set up meetings and conferences, arranging for the logistical aspects of these, from time-coordination to documents-dissemination, to preparation of lists of attendants, follow-up on reservation etc; -Participate and take minutes in the Departmental group meeting of Director, Coordinators and Team Leaders; -Perform other duties as requested Education Qualifications -First level University Degree from a recognized university with specialization in Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain Law, or related field Knowledge & skills -Good knowledge of finance, payroll, supply chain, legal or human resources concepts and applications in a larger Organizational context -Ability to work under pressure and to prioritize the workload -Ability to brief and train staff -Ability to use ERP system -Demonstrated skill and proficiency of computer systems -Ability to multi-task while paying attention to details -Ability to plan and manage projects -Sound judgement, integrity and tact when dealing with others -Good analytical and general organizational skills -Good inter-personal and communication skills -Expert knowledge of English (written and verbal) -Knowledge of French is a plus
