Malaysia is one of Coda\xe2\x80\x99s largest markets. Given the importance of local partnerships, this role will be critical in ensuring Coda\xe2\x80\x99s success in this country. The Senior BD Manager will be responsible for all Business Development efforts, as well as Account Management and general support to the rest of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: develop and grow a network of partners that enable Coda\xe2\x80\x99s success in the market
  • Payments: Identify, negotiate and establish partnerships with local payment providers (generate leads, lead the sales pitch, negotiate commercials, review agreement terms and KYC, \xe2\x80\xa6)
  • Distribution: Develop new distribution partnerships (online shops, offline retail, etc.)
  • Marketing: When needed, strike new deals to provide Marketing support from external partners (existing and new)
  • Content: Source digital content (e.g. game titles) from local publishers or third-party vendors
  • Account Management: manage the relationship and maximize value from our local partners
  • PIC: Manage the day-to-day relationship with local partners (operations, debugging, etc.), act as the main PIC externally (representing Coda) and internally (representing the partner/market when collaborating with different Coda teams)
  • Value: Maintain and grow the value from the different partnerships: monitor performance, conduct QBRs, renegotiate terms, secure added support, etc.
  • Support: provide local support to enable Coda\xe2\x80\x99s success
  • Market intel: provide intel regarding changes in the market (competition, payment landscape, distribution trends, price benchmarks, regulatory changes, etc.), build and maintain a network of local industry leaders
  • Support: participate in cross-functional and cross-regional initiatives, share best practices with peer group, provide local admin support

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B sales or BD, with a proven track record of negotiating and closing deals in the country
  • Experience in Payments, Fintech or distribution of digital content is a strong plus
  • Malaysia regulatory knowledge for Payments and Fintech
  • Experience in a high-growth company is a strong plus
  • Track record of effectively renegotiating, optimizing and managing partnerships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; can communicate clearly and effectively
  • Strong skills in strategic thinking, data analysis and creative problem-solving
  • High sense of ownership, autonomy and self-motivation
