Requirements: \xe2\x80\xa2 Minimum 5 years of civil engineering experience with civil & structural, geotechnical related design and consulting. \xe2\x80\xa2 Technically competent and well-developed engineering judgement skills to assess geotechnical problems and to provide constructive advice in civil & structural design. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to write clear and concise technical reports. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to mentor and train more junior team members. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to work well with others as a team, strong interpersonal, organisational skills, good technical & management reporting skill. \xe2\x80\xa2 Registered Professional Engineer (PE) will be an advantage. \xe2\x80\xa2 Resourceful, hardworking, positive working attitude and able to work independently. \xe2\x80\xa2 Preferably Chinese speaking and required languages: Mandarin, English & Bahasa Malaysia. Experience in working and dealing with China\xe2\x80\x99s developer/contractor would be added advantage. \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge and experience in any of the following engineering programs are added advantage: STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, Plaxis, Geo-Slope, Ressa, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, BIM & etc. \xe2\x80\xa2 Junior Engineers are also encouraged to apply for junior and intermediate position. \xe2\x80\xa2 Fresh Graduates with outstanding results are encouraged to apply for an entry level position. Job Responsibilities: \xe2\x80\xa2 Supervise a team of junior engineers to senior professionals to perform routine design, planning activities. Thus, improve technical capabilities of the team. \xe2\x80\xa2 To conduct desk studies, analysis and engineering design. Preparation of technical specification and engineering technical drawing. \xe2\x80\xa2 Plan and conduct work requiring judgement in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaption and notification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. \xe2\x80\xa2 Examine drawings for completeness, detail and accuracy as peer reviewer. Check prints and coordinate between this and utility drawings. \xe2\x80\xa2 Perform checking and verification of design calculations, technical reports, specifications and drawings to ensure high quality. \xe2\x80\xa2 Liaison with local authorities and project personnel to achieve delivery objectives. \xe2\x80\xa2 Coordinate work with the contractors and monitor the progress to ensure the completion is within the specified time frame and the work is in compliance with the specifications/standard. \xe2\x80\xa2 Coordinate with relevant parties to resolve interface issues and technical clarifications. \xe2\x80\xa2 Project management: to prepare Bills of Quantities, tender document, contract and etc. \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintain document control, data management, track project and team management. \xe2\x80\xa2 Any other relevant task assigned from time-to-time.
