Job Description




We are looking for a dynamic leader to drive the Segment sales and application functions in the Asia Pacific Region for the Climate Solutions Segment for our refrigeration and air conditioning controls, heat exchangers, compressors, district energy and buildings, residential heating, sensors, high pressure pumps, and others. The region comprises of countries in Southeast Asia (SEA), Northeast Asia and Pacific. The function acts as an interface between Regional Sales and the Global Segment (Sales) teams to ensure the segment strategy is implemented and driving profitable growth in the region.

With strong customer-centric mindset, trust-building and interpersonal skills, the incumbent will represent Danfoss and segment in Asia Pacific. The incumbent is a strong communicator in a multi-cultural environment, that builds strong relationship with our customers and local teams, keeping internal and external stakeholders and the teams throughout the region and beyond, engaged and aligned on the strategic direction of the company. In addition to growing the business and segment market share, the incumbent is expected to build a strong regional segment agenda as well as best-in-class technical expertise necessary for future growth.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide overall leadership for segment business by driving profitable growth, market shares through defining and driving segment sales strategy across countries.
  • Formalize business processes for segment sales.
  • Develop strong industry knowledge and external network in relevant area.
  • Optimize offer and value proposition for segment products by evaluating market trends, customer behaviours and competitor activities.
  • Build best-in-class product and application team.
  • Review and drive implementation of segment pricing strategy.
  • Represent segment in Asia Pacific Regional Management Team (RMT).
  • Develop relevant segment talent strategies to meet current and future business needs in collaboration with region and other segments.
  • Develop and professionalize interfaces and collaboration across segment value chain.
  • Establish effective working relationships and communication with region and collaborate to achieve sales targets in own segment and cross segments.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills:
  • Master\'s/Bachelor\'s Degree in Engineering/Business/equivalent, with proven experience in sales and business development in the engineering or industrial sectors
  • Minimum 10 years\' experience of sales management experience and industry knowhow. Work exposure to Asia Pacific would be an advantage
  • Proven track record of successfully leading sales and applications team
  • People management experience in Sales and Marketing
  • Proven track record in driving initiatives, results, and engagement via others
  • Proven leadership experience in a virtual and matrix environment
  • Strong experience in leading change
  • Strong business acumen and strategy deployment
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
