:

Strategy and Planning

• Provide legal advice and support to Management in strategic and planning initiatives
• Engaging with the Business Units to overcome legal impediments and complexities whilst ensuring that legal risks and efficiently managed and mitigated.

Business Performance and Management

• Oversight of regional ECM transactions and deals, DCM and CF advisory on legal matters (including the review of legal agreements in respect of the business units, when required)
• Collaborate with the various legal teams and legal departments within CIMB Group, as well as facilitate collaboration across countries for sharing of best practices
• Ensure responsible and open communication with stakeholders on an ongoing basis, to enhance effectiveness of legal support to the Business Units
• Participate in activities to build the desired organizational culture, values and preserve the reputation in the Group and with all staff, clients and regulatory bodies
• Any other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management, from time to time with respect to legal matters.
• Provide guidance to members of the team to ensure legal issues are accurately addressed and ensure effective turnaround time.

Regulatory Compliance

• Provide legal advice and support to Investment Banking Compliance to ensure CIMB complies with all relevant laws, rules and regulations
• Keeps abreast of relevant laws, regulations and market practices in order to provide advice and legal support to the Regional Head of Group Legal - Ventures & Partnerships and Investment Banking & Retail Equities and the Heads of Group Legal to manage the legal risks of the Group (relating to the IB and RE businesses)
• Advisory on ensuring compliance with the relevant legal and regulatory requirements, CIMB policies and procedures and the Department\'s policy and procedures.

People Management / Administration and Support

• Manage Legal team supporting the Investment Banking division and work closely with legal team in the region
• Management of all matters as may be required by the Heads of Group Legal
