An exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager, Legal role with a property & construction company.

As this role is essential to the organization, it is vital candidate comes with a track record of delivery and proven experience. Among the many responsibilities are listed below:

• Strategize legal advisory (review, drafting and vetting) on contracts, services agreements and other binding/non-binding documents made on behalf of the organization to safeguard company\'s interest and mitigate risks & legal implications that may have dire ramifications.
• Strategize and negotiate by nurturing trust, foster productive working relationship with counter parties and stakeholders to provide solutions, navigate conflicts and achieve mutual agreements.
• Provide general legal support services and advice on all relevant corporate matters, commercial transactions, procurement issues, employment and industrial relations, financing, joint-venture and shareholder matters, chilled water and electricity supply, facilities management, carpark management, construction project management, hotel operation, convention centre operations, REIT, retail agreements, contract management, and other legal subject matter.
• Lead the development, implementation, and enforcement of legal framework & systems to ensure consistency of advice and service in the organization.
• Strategise, advise, and facilitate the services for financing documentation, manage and plan the due diligence process and provide confirmation on all the related information.
• Recommend legal strategy, assess, and monitor the Group\'s legal risks to safeguard organization\'s compliance to the relevant regulatory requirements.
• Strategise and facilitate all legal dispute proceedings including industrial relations, Litigation, Arbitration, and liaise with the appointed solicitors for the strategy and plan to protect Company\'s interest and optimize the success outcome.
• Formulate the legal frameworks and monitor the compliance to the statutory legal requirements as well as the relevant compliance, assurance and governance framework introduced by group for adoption and implementation.
• Plan and facilitate any required training and communication on any recent relevant laws and policies applicable to the Company\'s business and operations.
• Provide secretarial functions to committee meeting including performing other related functions to ensure the effectiveness of meetings circulation, recirculation of necessary information and documents pre and post meetings.

The ideal Senior Manager, Legal will be confident in leading from the front and be responsible for the growth of the company while possessing the below requirements;

• Bachelor\'s degree in Law.
• 7 years working experience in a senior/leadership position in Legal Corporate and Construction Services.
• Leading multiple cross/functional teams including agile team is an added advantage.
• Experience in construction, llitigation, and corporate advisory works.
• Knowledge and experience in financing (domestic and international).
• Knowledge and experience in Real Estate Investment Trust.
• Familiarity with Main Market Listing Requirement and Malaysian Code of Corporate Governance, Capital Market Services Act, and Financing Reporting Standard / Malaysian Financing Reporting Standard.
