Key Responsibilities
Lead and participate in the design, deployment, configuration, and maintenance of LAN, WAN, Data Centre, and campus network infrastructures.
Configure, manage and support network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, SD-WAN devices, access points) and software in accordance with industry best practices.
Implement network security measures (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, WAFs) and review/enhance network resilience, redundancy, and capacity planning.
Collaborate with presales/solution teams to provide network architecture input, proof of concept demonstrations, and technical specification for clients.
Monitor network performance (using NMS tools), conduct fault isolation/problem resolution, root cause analysis, and recommend improvements to avoid recurrence.
Create and maintain network documentation: topology diagrams, as-built configurations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), change logs.
Work with vendors and service providers for procurement, installation, and support of network equipment and circuits.
Provide leadership, mentoring, training and guidance to junior network engineers, and act as escalation point for complex network issues.
Participate in on-call rotation (if required), support operational continuity (including after-hours or weekend work) in critical incident situations.
Stay current with emerging network technologies (SDN, NFV, cloud networking, IPv6) and drive continuous improvements.
Ensure compliance with change management, ITIL/ITSM practices, security policies, and company SLAs.
