Responsibilities: Project Management: The Senior Resident Presales Consultant is responsible for the overall project management and coordination. They work closely with various stakeholders, including architects, contractors, vendors, and client representatives, to ensure the project progresses according to the defined timeline, budget, and quality standards. Design Review: They review and provide input on data center design plans, ensuring that the facility meets the required specifications, including power and cooling systems, layout, security measures, and redundancy configurations. Technical Expertise: They bring in-depth technical knowledge of data center systems, including electrical, mechanical, and HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems. They ensure that these systems are designed and implemented to meet industry best practices and standards. Construction Oversight: During the construction phase, the Senior Resident Engineer monitors the work on-site to ensure that the construction aligns with the approved design. They address any technical issues that arise and make necessary adjustments to ensure the data center\'s integrity and functionality. Quality Control: They implement quality control processes to ensure that all equipment, materials, and systems meet the required standards. They may conduct inspections, tests, and verifications to ensure everything is functioning as intended. Risk Management: The Senior Resident Presales Consultant identifies potential risks and challenges that could impact the project\'s success. They work on mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure the project stays on track. Documentation: They maintain thorough documentation throughout the project lifecycle. This documentation includes design plans, construction progress reports, equipment specifications, testing and commissioning records, and any changes made during the process. Communication: Effective communication is crucial. The Senior Resident Engineer liaises between different teams and stakeholders, providing updates on project status, addressing concerns, and ensuring that everyone is on the same page. Troubleshooting: If issues arise during the construction or operational phases, the Senior Resident Engineer uses their expertise to troubleshoot problems and recommend solutions to keep the data center running smoothly. Operational Handover: Once the data center is constructed and operational, the Senior Resident Engineer might facilitate the handover process to the operations team, ensuring a smooth transition from construction to ongoing maintenance and management. Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Bachelors Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or equivalent experience certifications preferred Minimum of 4 years relevant working experience, ideally in IT multinational environment. At the minimum 5 years of solid work related experience, if does not possess a degree. Track record on the assigned linecards experience is an added advantage. IT Distributor and/or SI experience would also be an added advantage. Have good communication in English, on the job understanding and problem solving skills. Proven ability to work independently, effectively in an off-site environment and under high pressure.
