Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Quality Assurance and Halal Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible of compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards, oversee all certification processes, and lead initiatives to maintain and improve product quality in our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:



Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Quality Assurance (QA) systems in compliance with Halal Malaysia, Halal Indonesia, ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, BPOM registration and other relevant food safety standards. Act as the company's Main Halal Executive, ensuring full compliance with JAKIM requirements, managing Halal certification renewals, and maintaining all related documentation. Lead all internal and external audits, including supplier audits, Halal inspections, and ISO audits; prepare audit documentation and follow up on corrective and preventive actions. Initiatives to Coordinate and lead meetings related to food safety, preparing accurate minutes for documentation. Work along side the Plant Manager in maintaining the integrity of the Food Safety Management System. Monitor and verify production process flows to ensure compliance with food safety principles and quality standards. Serve as Hygiene Officer, conducting internal audits to uphold cleanliness, hygiene, and housekeeping standards. Ensure all practices align with documented food safety procedures and standards. Investigate customer complaints, prepare detailed reports, and coordinate with the sales department to implement timely corrective actions. Conduct inspections of raw material receipt to verify compliance with quality requirements. Enforce hygienic practices among all employees and visitors within the manufacturing plant. Monitor and analyze QA performance metrics; report findings and recommend corrective measures as necessary. Collaborate closely with production, R&D, and procurement teams to ensure raw materials, processes, and finished goods meet quality and safety standards. Develop and deliver quality training programs for production and QA personnel. Review and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality manuals, and product specifications.
Investigate product complaints and non-conformities by performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective improvements.

Qualifications and Skills:



Masters or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or a related field.

Additional Advantages:



Experience with halal certification processes and audits. Familiarity with regulatory bodies and industry best practices. Proficient in quality management systems and data analysis tools. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000, and halal management principles. Previous experience in the confectionery industry is preferred. Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and verbal. Leadership skills with the ability to motivate team members to achieve quality objectives. Ability to adapt to changing environments while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Creative, result-oriented, and passionate about innovation in food quality and safety.

Pay: RM2,250.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
