Senior Sales Engineer Digitalization/ Industry 4.0

Job Description


You\'ll be responsible for driving sales of the company\'s Industry 4.0 solutions by understanding customer needs, demonstrating product value, and managing the sales cycle. This new role has been established as part of the company\'s Industry 4.0 vision to achieve a 10% revenue target by 2025. The successful candidate will work closely with the team to develop and promote solutions within the Industry 4.0 portfolio to help achieve this goal.

  • Promote and sell Industry 4.0 Solutions and complementary products in the portfolio
  • Independently develop the market and expand customer base with a strong focus on Industry 4.0 portfolio and digital business model
  • Actively manage Industry 4.0 sales pipeline, maintain Salesforce, identify opportunities, and bring them to realization
  • Responsible for supporting, identifying, qualifying, and processing new potential leads & opportunities for Industry 4.0
  • Design technical and financial proposals to best meet customers\' needs
  • Develop strategic partnerships in the context of "Certified by..." concept, ensuring partners meet/exceed targets & KPIs
  • Proactively support and follow-up with customers to identify new opportunities
  • Prepare and negotiate quotations, working with the Sales team to close deals
  • Independently own, control, and be responsible for the sales pipeline, Salesforce, BPC/forecast for selected Industry 4.0 partners
  • Capture market requirements and competitive situations, provide customer feedback to optimize the Industry 4.0 solution portfolio
  • Collaborate globally on Industry 4.0 pursuits, development projects, and promotional/marketing events
  • Initiate and/or support Industry 4.0 promotional activities/events, develop success/win cases, share solutions via webinars, podcasts, roadshows, and training, and actively share challenges/successes with the team and customers
  • Develop customer presentation materials based on relevant applications and competitor benchmarking, and train the Sales team to effectively present sales material to customers
  • Conduct Industry 4.0 and other product trainings to customers and partners
  • Approach System Integrators and collaborate to generate package solutions for customers
  • Conduct vibration analysis, interpret results, and prepare analysis reports for customers as needed.

  • Must possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years sales experience preferred in the Digitalization/Industrial/Automation/Condition Monitoring industries.
  • While not mandatory, having Vibration Analysis Level I ISO certification is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of SCADA integration and experience in working with various communication protocols such as OPCUA, Profinet, etc., is considered a plus.
  • Experience working and managing projects with System Integrators is an added advantage.
  • Should be proactive, driven, and persistent, with a "hunter" sales approach.
  • It is preferable to have a proven sales record and experience managing end-customers and sales channels.
  • Should be capable of maintaining a positive attitude while managing multiple tasks and interacting with a diverse group of individuals.
  • Familiarity with value-based selling techniques and a strategic sales approach is necessary.
  • Must be independent, proactive, and driven to support/follow-up with customers for order realization.
  • Should possess a good business perspective and be capable of balancing technical and financial business models.
  • Must be skilled in business negotiations and the presentation of ideas.
  • The ideal candidate should be energetic, entrepreneurial, and focused on meeting/exceeding targets/KPIs.
  • Excellent communication skills are a must, with an ability to relate to customers (internal/external) and work well within a team.
  • Should be customer-oriented and result-focused, with a hands-on approach.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including CRM software like Salesforce, is preferred.
  • Must be willing to travel on short notice.
