Job Description
RoleThe Day-To-Day Activities
To act as in-house counsel supporting the analysis and resolution of all legal matters and working closely with Management and internal cross functional business teams (Regulatory, Finance, Product, Sales, Marketing, Network, IT, Procurement)Key Accountabilities
- Advise on all pre-contract & post -contract issues
- Structure, draft & negotiate agreements
- Develop effective relationships with key internal stakeholders to ensure efficient delivery of the above responsibilities
- Assist in resolution of contract related issues
- Help manage relationships with external counsel and guide external counsel in their provision of legal services and not act as a mere paper pusher
- Conduct research
- Apply prudent business judgement, ensure that Management is aware of key legal risks and requirements
- Support General Counsel generallyAbout You
Key Experiences and Qualifications
- LLB from a recognized university with a min of 7 years working experience in a legal firm or as in-house lawyer with a focus on technology. Candidates with telco operator experience will be viewed favourably
- Strong academic background
