Job Description


The Vice President of Operations and Facility Management will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee new projects, operations and facilities activities in the organization, ensuring the development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet the current and future needs of the organization. \xe2\x80\xa2 Establishes, implements, and communicates the strategic direction of the organization\xe2\x80\x99s operations division. \xe2\x80\xa2 Collaborates with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems. \xe2\x80\xa2 Collaborates with other divisions and departments to accomplish the organization\xe2\x80\x99s goals and objectives. \xe2\x80\xa2 Prepares rough layouts, plans, specifications and cost estimates for all proposed modification and construction projects; consults with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders on construction projects. \xe2\x80\xa2 Inspects the work of contractors when in progress and upon completion. \xe2\x80\xa2 Oversees the preparation of contract terms and statements of work for all capital improvement and construction contracts; negotiates revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors. \xe2\x80\xa2 In collaboration with Public Safety, Develops and implements Emergency Response Program, inclusive of safety and emergency procedures, including fire, medical, evacuation, bomb threats, and alarm systems. \xe2\x80\xa2 Knows and ensures compliance with all applicable laws, codes, ordinances, policies, procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules, regulations and emergency procedures. \xe2\x80\xa2 Inspects the work of subordinates and contractors to ensure adherence to customer specifications, Events DC quality assurance standards, procedures and safety codes. \xe2\x80\xa2 Provides expert advice and support to the Vice President and Board of Directors on engineering, building services, custodial services, electrical services, security and safety. \xe2\x80\xa2 Coordinate and manage submission of all licensing approval for the Rehab Center with relevant government bodies. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensures that departmental decisions and project plans, such as staffing, development, organization, material efficiency, hardware acquisitions, and facilities, align with the organization\'s business plan and vision. \xe2\x80\xa2 Establishes, communicates, and implements operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution. \xe2\x80\xa2 Reviews and approves cost-control reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements for projects. \xe2\x80\xa2 Establishes and administers the department\xe2\x80\x99s budget. \xe2\x80\xa2 Presents periodic performance reports and metrics to the President/Chief Executive Officer and other leadership. \xe2\x80\xa2 Identifies training needs and ensures proper training is developed and provided. approval \xe2\x80\xa2 Performs other related duties as assigned. Professional Experience \xe2\x80\xa2 Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business administration, Logistics, Engineering, or another industry-related field required; MBA preferred. \xe2\x80\xa2 At least ten years of healthcare industry-related experience, including three years in upper management required. \xe2\x80\xa2 Good spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia. \xe2\x80\xa2 Computer literacy is required. \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to write and interprets contracts and specifications. Principal Accountabilities: \xe2\x80\xa2 Achieves timely completion and handover of the projects within the approved budget through effective project management. \xe2\x80\xa2 Achieves departmental goals and objectives within the approved operating budget by controlling and managing Engineering operations cost-effectively. \xe2\x80\xa2 Achieves minimal interruption to Rehab facilities and services through effective planning and sound management. \xe2\x80\xa2 Complies with Rehab Centers and other applicable / standards, acts and regulations relating to engineering facilities and services. \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintains a committed and high-performance work team by recruiting suitable staff, providing them with ongoing training and development opportunities, and constantly motivating them. \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintains good ESH practices in the Rehab Centers by monitoring and reviewing work activities and identifying potential hazards and non-compliances for corrective and preventive action.
