Site Engineer with strong project scheduling and planning skills
to join our team in Kuala Perlis. The ideal candidate will not only manage day-to-day operations at the construction site but also take charge of project planning, scheduling, and tracking to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations.
Develop, update, and monitor
project schedules
, timelines, and work programs using scheduling software (e.g., MS Project or Primavera).
Track project progress and provide early warnings of potential delays or issues.
Collaborate with the Project Manager to align schedules with budgets, resources, and deadlines.
Conduct site inspections and prepare detailed reports on progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure smooth project execution.
Verify and process work progress claims from subcontractors.
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with local regulations, building codes, and safety guidelines.
Support documentation, record-keeping, and reporting in line with project and regulatory requirements.
Participate in project meetings and provide updates on scheduling and site issues.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in construction or civil engineering, with hands-on experience in site supervision and project scheduling.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in
project scheduling software
such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
Strong understanding of
construction sequencing, critical path method (CPM)
, and resource planning.
Familiar with building codes, safety standards, and construction best practices.
Competent in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication, coordination, and leadership abilities.
Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
Detail-oriented and capable of working independently under pressure.
Certifications:
CIDB Certification
(Mandatory).
Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) registration
is an advantage.
Language Proficiency:
Fluent in
Bahasa Malaysia
and
English
(written and spoken).
Other Requirements:
Willing to work on-site in
Perlis
area.
Valid driver's license and own transport.
Proactive and committed to quality and timely project delivery.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
