Description

Primary Objective:

  • Handling agency administrative matters in compliance with Group, regulatory and other requirements.
  • Supervise the branches in the smooth-running of their operations, acting as liaison between branches and head office departments.
  • System enhancement and operational process improvement.
  • Branch staff upskilling and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:

1) Agency Admin Matters
  • Agency administration (registration, renewal, suspension, termination)
  • CPD training - selection of trainers, training topics, tracking implementation
  • Handle agency related requests and enquiries
  • Update agency force on internal developments as well as industry news
  • Issuing circulars and communications to agents
  • CBC/CPD/MMC reporting to PIAM
2) Branch Operations
  • Update and monitor compliance with Group/Company policy and procedures/manuals
  • Liaison between branches and head office departments
  • Process improvement
  • Credit control - branches outstanding premium and bad debts
  • Branch review visits
  • Manpower requests
  • Business Continuity Management (BCM)
  • Issuing of memo, reminders and updates to branches
  • Supervise branches on PIAM, Compliance and internal audit
  • Reporting loss events in oprisk evo system
3) IT/System Projects
  • Diamond enhancement studies for new features, market requirements, new products
  • Raising Chang Request (CR), review of BRD and SRS, UAT and system deployment testing coordination
  • Evaluation of system vendors' new and renewal proposition
  • Insurance Apps - BRD draft, review and decision making
4) Administration
  • Periodic review of HOD presentation slides for MANCO and Board
  • To perform ad-hoc duties assigned by immediate superior from time to time
  • Branch staff training/skill enhancement
Requirements

Requirements:

Academic Qualifications / Other Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in any discipline or Professional qualification(s) in general insurance (minimum associate level) e.g. AMII or AAII

Other Key Skills / Knowledge:

Good understanding of the insurance market especially agency buisness.

Minimum of 10 years' experience in the Insurance industry, with at least 5 years' experience in agency and branch management

Good analytical and communication / writing skills.

Interpersonal and relationship building.

Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Team.
