Job description

My client is a global automation equipment manufacturer, based in Penang. They are looking for a Software Engineering Manager due to rapid expansion.

Roles and Duties * Develops and enhances the software development for AMHS control software.

• Oversees the training and professional growth of the software engineering team.
• Directs and delegates tasks to software engineers and leaders, managing overall team performance.
• Guides the software development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to industry best practices.
• Plans and creates scalable solutions for AMHS control systems, offering technical assistance to team engineers.
• Stays informed about the latest advancements in robotics and automation software, introducing innovative ideas to the team.
• Aligns activities with product and organizational goals, collaborating with diverse teams to successfully deliver projects.

Requirements Education/Experience: * Holds a minimum bachelor\'s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.

• Possesses 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in software engineering, with a preference for a background in automation or AMHS industry.
• Demonstrates at least 2+ years of experience in managing or leading a software engineering team.
• Exhibits a proven track record of leadership in previous roles.

Knowledge: * Demonstrates proficiency in C/C++ and C# programming languages.

• Possesses sound knowledge of MS SQL, MySQL, and Oracle databases.
• Familiarity with machine sequence, AMHS, MCS, or MES is advantageous.
• Displays strong problem-solving, software debugging, and commissioning skills in automated control equipment software.
