Job Responsibilities

  • To manage Fintech solutions which jointly owns the accountability with Business to meet our strategic business roadmap that aligns with company objectives & goals.
  • To contribute to the solution team skills in aspects of solution architecting, designing and delivery of strategic functionalities of systems to meet the future requirements of the overall digital road maps.
  • Passionate and possess Can-Do attitude when it comes to solving customer or business pain points to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our fintech solutions, platform, products and services.
  • Improved adoption of digital collaboration tools for purpose of product backlog prioritization and planning to ease alignment & shifting with business, to promote visibility of tasks cross division under a shared responsibility & agile model within team from multi-departments and divisions that leads to better staff engagement.
  • Flexibly open & adaptive to change. Always curious about latest technologies to innovatively solutionize across Fintech & Digital platforms and applications.
STRATEGIC
  • Develop goals, strategies, and plans needed to achieve the portfolios vision and build the capabilities to enable optimal delivery that aligns with strategic intent and input from relevant stakeholders.
  • Constantly monitor IT and relevant business trends, emerging tools and technologies to continually improve processes, delivery, technical architecture and best practices for fintech solution department.
  • Recommend strategic business opportunities to deliver medium to long-term benefit and growth to the organization and its customers.
  • Translate the strategic vision into requirements and drive the fulfilment of these technical requirements.
  • Analyze business change drivers to determine business, solution and information technology requirements.
  • Identifying and implementing technology trends that will be able to support the future success of the business.
  • Provide input to the strategic direction of technology investments to assist in the development of the fintech architecture and maximize the return on technology investment.
  • Work with strategic partners to workshop possible collaborations to take new innovative ideas to market.
SOLUTION ENGINEERING
  • Excellent attention to detail, as frequently needs to examine functional specifications and translate them into system guidelines that shape project development as well as find ways to align projects with understanding of enterprise-level system\'s architecture and capabilities to effectively solution the services to meet business objectives.
  • Conduct research on existing systems and devising solutions that work within those systems.
  • Ability to handle business users through solutions workshop and demonstration, answer questions regarding software capabilities and requirements, and work to resolve issues that arise during the development cycle.
  • To be able to effectively workshop solutions with the business areas and external partners to determine feasibility or detail the design. Be able to see through technical flaws and implications from vendor proposed solution.
  • Determine, prepare, maintain and keep tracking on changes to the centralized solution documentation through extraction of documents from vendors and internal technology stakeholders.
  • Ensure all solution roll out and change requests are up to date on the centralized technical specification document, solution network architecture, and solution asset register.
  • Review requirements for projects within the scope of the value stream or impacting processes and systems.
  • Understanding the use cases (and/or user stories) in order to contribute to the design of the architecture for the products to be built.
  • Collaborating with the appropriate functions and users to identify & evaluate technology platforms for delivering the company\'s products and internal services.
PROJECT DELIVERY
  • Work effectively with product managers/owners, vendors and internal team members to ensure delivery against agreed priorities.
  • Overall responsibility for planning, executing, tracking and managing cost, schedule, and scope for projects in the portfolio.

  • Implement mechanisms to monitor, manage and provide progress on all software development activities.
  • Lead and manage the IT teams to deliver solutions that meets the needs of users to the relevant business areas.
  • Conduct project post mortems to identify successful project elements and improvement areas.
STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors.
  • Manage collaboration and relationship between different departments in delivering solutions to meet customers\' business needs.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Articulating to colleagues and user communities, the company\'s technological vision, opportunities, and challenges.
PROJECT & CHANGE DELIVERY
  • Capable to manage simple-to-moderate complexity enhancements, change requests & projects end-to-end; through identification of business requirements, technical capabilities & needs with goals of providing quality solutions throughout the SDLC with periodic status updates to stakeholders adopting agile methodologies with product backlog prioritization along with Business or Product owners, with daily stand ups, sprint planning & reviews with retrospective session.
  • Work effectively with Product Managers and Product Owners to ensure delivery against agreed priorities;

BUDGET
  • Assist in the forecasting, planning and development of the fintech portfolio\'s budget
  • Manage and optimize departmental budget, ensuring all expenditure is in line with the agreed budgets, including projects.
  • Support the creation of the business case for initiatives and projects in functional areas.
STAFFING
  • Ensure skills and experience are consistent with its scientific, technological and business needs for providing quality in present and future services to departmental needs.
  • Provide support for all staff within department in keeping with the uMobile\'s values.
OTHERS
  • Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as may be reasonably expected of the role and as necessary in order to achieve the objectives of the company.
  • Undertake any other duties and functions that are assigned by HOD
Job Requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science / Information Systems / Electrical & Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in similar position in Digital & Financial Technology industry. Proven track record of technical customer solution delivery. Experience in Telecommunication industry will be an added advantage.
  • TOGAF, AWS Cloud Practitioner certification will be an advantage.
  • Financial Services, Payment Solutions, Mobile Applications.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-moving IT landscape and keep pace with latest thinking and new security technologies.
  • A passion for technology and security safeguarding with a desire to deliver.
  • Thrives on change, showing an impressive ability to drive the IT security strategy forward.
  • Analytical mind capable of managing numerous information sources and providing data analysis reports to senior management.
  • Strong customer focus - able to meet the demands of internal and external customers.
