WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOURCING PROJECT ANALYST WITH 7-10 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE (familiar with SAP ARIBA | can start immediately)Company Industry: Oil & Gas
Position: Sourcing Coordinator IV (Sourcing Project Analyst)
Working Location: Tower 5, Avenue 7, The Horizon, Bangsar South City, No. 8, Jalan Kerinchi, Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur
Working hours: 1pm to 10pm (MY time zone)
Working Duration: 12 Months
Salary: Max 28,500.00

Responsible for supporting sourcing and contracting change activities to be conducted by the Sourcing team and designing/updating the identified buying channels based on the improvement initiatives identified through the Digital Operating System (DOS) project. The project will identify changes to existing contract setup in the system and may include updates to existing contract clauses which will require the involvement of the Sourcing team to negotiate with suppliers. Additionally, there may be updates required to the implemented buying channels. You are responsible to review and understand the recommended improvements, create the sourcing/case requests, design/review proposed buying channels setup, track and report the progress to the project and business stakeholders to ensure timely delivery according to the project plan.Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that all activities follow the GBS\'s Health and Safety (HSSE) requirements, incl. a strong HSSE focus in any contracting and purchasing activity
  • Analysing proposed changes identified by the DOS project which impact existing supplier contracts and determine the complexity and priority levels
  • Creating sourcing cases/ requests in Salesforce Compass, stating the required amendments/ changes expected in the contracts to be negotiated by the respective Sourcing teams
  • Deep familiarity with Ariba Spend Management modules and functions. Provide subject matter advisement to category managers as they review their current state category strategies, and develop their future state category strategies with a focus on standardization and automation.
  • Defining and tracking timelines, risks and issues for each sourcing activity related to the DOS project
  • Monitoring project progress and creating project status reports, related to the sourcing activities, for project managers and stakeholders
  • Scheduling stakeholder meetings and facilitating communications between project manager and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Constantly achieving and delivering against the agreed Performance objectives incl. the respective Key Performance Indicators
  • Ensuring effective critical issue management in line with the agreed operating model
  • Ensuring processes are embedded & adhered to consistently in the team
  • Ensuring team process and procedure documentations are maintained and fit for purpose
  • Driving the evolution of the processes managed and develop the continuous improvement mind-set and culture
  • Working closely with other leaders and teams in the GBS Procurement organisation to ensure that overall operational objectives are met, ideas shared and lessons learnt
  • Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with key partners at all levels within the organisation, customers and external service providers
  • Supervising and assuring compliance to company business controls and SOX requirements (audit regulation)
  • Ensuring all processes are aligned with relevant ISO accreditation & assisting to the preparation for future accreditation (if applicable)
Requirement:
  • Bachelors\' degree preferably in business studies
  • Ideal candidates will have a degree with at least 7 - 10 years of finance, risk or other proven experience.
  • Familiarity in using SAP BUYER procurement systems (eg. Ariba)
  • Proven experience in procurement and contract management as well as in project management/coordination roles
  • Strong Communications skills and the ability to operate in a complex, enterprise-scale environment
  • Experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Experience managing project or operational risks
  • Ability to identify and use metrics to analyze, understand, and communicate program performance
  • Knowledge of technologies commonly used in electronic discovery and legal fields and the application of those to solve business problems
  • Ability to use technical details to drive constructive conversations with Sourcing practitioners, project team and stakeholders
  • Ability to translate ideas and thoughts into useful artefacts and documentation that can inform decision making
