The Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for sourcing activities of direct materials at Johor site. Sourcing activities would include but not limited to, localization, FAI submission, NPI support and cost reduction initiatives. Duties & Responsibilities .Responsible for supporting Category Managers in localization activities which include RFx process, supplier qualification, sample qualification and documentation. . Will participate periodically to reviews with Regional Category Managers to ensure strategies are aligned and pipeline activity is proceeding. . Supporting Category Manager in supplier management suppliers including performing supplier\'s due diligence, evaluation of supplier\'s proposal, contracts with suppliers, supplier\'s performance evaluation, identifying alternative suppliers. . Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers. . Own initiative in identifying and implementing of saving potentials. . Participate in cross functional teams to identify material delivery risk to meet customer orders and NPI timeline. . Be familiar with international trade compliance, tariff, and local regulations. The Individual Technical Knowledge and Skills: . Bachelor\'s degree in Supply Chain/Engineering with 3 - 4 years of related experience in electronics and mechanical commodities. . Strong Knowledge of Project procurement practices, costs structures and strong negotiations skills. . Ability to interact effectively with various levels of management is required. . Outstanding presentation, facilitation skills plus effective listening skills, high energy and engaging. . Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint . Experience with SAP or similar ERP System . Strong knowledge of the industry and market conditions . Independent and problem solver
