Responsibility:

  • To maintain a high standard of all food preparations, service and hygiene in their respective kitchens according to the standards required by the management.
  • To co-ordinate, in detail on the food production, and all specific duties to all Sous Chefs and employees under his supervision.
  • Responsible for the correct timing during service and to ensure that food served is always of the highest standards.
  • To constantly check the quality of food prepared with regard to taste and temperature.
  • Ensures smooth and effective communication among the kitchens and with other departments.
  • Ensures that staff follow the hygiene and sanitation procedures when handling food / equipment / utensil.
  • Computer literate. Basic Computer knowledge of word and excel added plus.
  • Be able to create promotional seasonal menus and come up with creative menu rotational ideas and dishes.
Requirements:
  • Oral and written fluency in English and local language.
  • Minimum 5 years\' experience in an international class hotel capacity.
  • Computer literate.
  • Flexible and able to work as per hotel operational needs and requirements.
  • Due to work permit restrictions, only citizens of Malaysia and Permanent Residents of Malaysia shall be considered.
