Job Summary

  • Supervise the day-to-day distribution center operations to ensure overall efficient and effective operations
General Responsibilities
  • Motivate, train, coach, and lead the Shipping and Receiving team as to ensure effective and efficient operations in accordance with the stipulated SOPs, deliverables and meeting the overall CDC KPIs.
  • Supervise and maintain discipline of all personnel under his charge as to follow the warehouse rules and regulations, materials handling guideline, cold chain and other related procedures and guidelines.
  • Assist all transactions for all shipping/inbound activities compliance with ISO 9001:2008, ISO 13485:2003, GxP and other areas related to Occupational, Safety & Health Acts.
  • Assist regular meeting with all staff in planning, identifying, rectifying and resolving every problematic issue and provide training and guidance to his subordinates when necessary. Sets related objectives to achieve maximum productivity and optimum output, and provide prompt feedback and possible solutions to SADC Manager.
  • Ensure the shipping/inbound documentation and receiving processes and activities are practiced in accordance with the stipulated SOPs, and exercise highest security in discharging all goods in CDC and its vicinity, reduce receiving errors and ensuring on time put away schedules.
  • Monitor and work within budget on overtime, cost and expenses, resource planning, analyze activity and staff performance for improvement, project implementation if any.
  • Provide good liaison with other inbound and outbound section activities in order to achieve high service level to principals, internal, external customers and effective operational procedures.
  • Assist prompt and timely daily clearance of in-coming shipment for timely receipt and put away of goods available for sales.
  • Provide direct supervision on all related shipping and receiving processes, resource deployment, daily output and documentation to be executed accordingly meeting the required dateline.
  • Supervise on all urgent shipments or arrivals, special promotion, importation and exportation, branch returns, and any exceptional matters meeting the delivery/receipt dateline.
Functional Skills and Knowledge
  • Demonstrate working understanding of distribution centre, distribution and transportation.
  • Proven hands-on experience in warehousing, pick and pack functions.
  • Demonstrate strong appreciation of customer service requirements and commitment.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrate fluency in local language and ideally in English, both written and spoken
  • Applicants must be willing to work in Section 26, Shah Alam
  • Willing to work on shift.
Education

Diploma/certificate in Supply Chain, Logistics Management or related field

Work Experience
  • Minimum three to five years\' experience in a similar role
