Job Description


We are currently seeking a Depot Supervisor to join DHL eCommerce Malaysia!The Depot Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring timely, accurate and profitable delivery of shipments to customers through effective management of all inbound operations at the Depot.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service Management\xc2\xb7 Maintain good working relationships\xc2\xb7 Co-ordination, discussion, and communication\xc2\xb7 Assist to keep performance and meet target\xc2\xb7 Problem shooting and improvementStakeholder Management\xc2\xb7 Manage parcel processing and delivery process efficiently within DHLeC delivery depot\xc2\xb7 Plan sorting and courier zone assignments\xc2\xb7 Deliver parcels to customers within delivery depot coverage area and cutoff time\xc2\xb7 Ensure adherence to the operational workflows and standard operating procedures (SOPs) defined for Depot operations\xc2\xb7 Monitor the daily in scan and out scan of shipments\xc2\xb7 Check pre-alerts to track daily loads at the Depot and plan delivery schedules accordingly\xc2\xb7 Conduct daily staff briefings, including communication regarding any operational changes, route changes etc\xc2\xb7 Check and hand over delivery sheets to the delivery staff or through mobile app.\xc2\xb7 Ensure safe, timely and profitable delivery of shipments to customers and reduce instances of undelivered shipments, RTOs etc\xc2\xb7 Handle all exception cases at the Depot and communicate the same to Hub and Customer Services for resolution\xc2\xb7 On a daily basis recheck exceptions of the previous day and ensure follow up of the same\xc2\xb7 Ensure safe handling of all shipments at the Depot and report any damaged cases to the Hub\\CS.\xc2\xb7 Handle security exceptions in the Depot along with the security team\xc2\xb7 Conduct regular audits of deliveries and status updates to ensure correctness of information flow to clients\xc2\xb7 Monitor expenses by way of adherence to vehicle log checks daily and ensure timely reimbursement of fuel conveyance expenses to staff/ PDA\xc2\xb7 Ensure daily updation, allocation and collection OTM machines for deliveries\xc2\xb7 Collect COD cash collected by the delivery staff, cross check the same with the delivery sheet and deposit into DHL bank account\xc2\xb7 Monitor performance of staff in the Depot and ensure conduct of trainings for regular PDAs, etc. in line with the training programmes designed centrally\xc2\xb7 Ensure adequate manning in terms for full-time PDAs etc\xc2\xb7 Generate and maintain MIS related to the Depot\xc2\xb7 Special Request handling as appropriated\xc2\xb7 Keep and organize working documents in tidiness and easy to use\xc2\xb7 Ensure safe and secure workplace and environment.Team Management\xc2\xb7 Provide direction, guidance and support to employees to help them discharge their duties effectively\xc2\xb7 Motivate, train, coach and support new and existing employees to deliver high service level to customersDesired Skills / Qualifications\xc2\xb7 2 \xe2\x80\x93 3 years operations experience, preferably within transportation or logistics industry\xc2\xb7 Good knowledgeof courier / express shipment management and delivery process flow\xc2\xb7 People management experience as a team leader or supervisorMinimum Educational Qualification\xc2\xb7 Minimum SPM/high school certification.
