The System Analyst (ERP-Focused) is responsible for managing, analyzing, and governing the company's ERP system and related applications. This role ensures that ERP enhancements and technical solutions are designed, developed, and delivered with high quality, stability, and maintainability. Acting as a technical gatekeeper, the System Analyst works closely with PMO, business stakeholders, and outsourced technical teams to safeguard system integrity, ensure proper change control, and support business operations with technical expertise.
Responsibility
Technical System Analysis & Governance
Analyze ERP and related application system behavior at both functional and technical levels.
Review and validate technical designs, backend code, architecture, and integration logic provided by vendors.
Perform impact analysis for proposed system changes and enhancements.
Identify root causes of system issues, including code, integration, data, or design-related problems.
ERP Ownership & Change Control
Serve as the primary technical owner for ERP-related changes and enhancements.
Ensure that ERP modifications are properly scoped, documented, approved, tested, and deployed.
Prevent uncontrolled customizations and promote long-term maintainability of the system.
Support production incidents and critical issues with hands-on technical analysis when required.
Programming & Technical Review
Review and understand backend code written in C#/.NET Core and frontend logic in Angular.
Analyze SQL queries, logs, and API interactions to troubleshoot and validate system behavior.
Perform limited hands-on coding, debugging, or proof-of-concept tasks when necessary.
PMO & Project Collaboration
Work closely with PMO and project teams on ERP and application initiatives.
Support effort estimation, technical feasibility assessment, and project delivery planning.
Participate in UAT planning, go-live readiness, and post-implementation review.
Communicate technical risks, dependencies, and constraints clearly to project stakeholders.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
Liaise with outsourced technical teams and system integrators.
Evaluate and challenge vendor proposals, timelines, and technical solutions when necessary.
Ensure the quality of deliverables including code, documentation, testing evidence, and handover materials.
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Ad-Hoc Responsibilities
Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by management.
Requirement
Educational & Technical Background
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
5-8 years of relevant experience, including:
2-4 years as a software developer/programmer.
Subsequent experience as a System Analyst, Technical Analyst, or Technical Lead.
Technical Skills & Experience
Strong hands-on experience with:
C# / .NET Core development.
Angular for frontend logic.
SQL and relational databases.
Experience with API-based system integrations and service-oriented architectures.
Familiarity with ERP systems, modules, and business process flows.
System Analyst & Professional Skills
Strong system thinking, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
Experience in requirement analysis, technical documentation, and impact assessment.
Ability to balance technical depth with business priorities.
Experience collaborating with outsourced vendors and working in PMO-managed projects.
Proactive, self-motivated, and able to multitask effectively under deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
