The System Analyst is responsible for analyzing, designing, and supporting business and technical solutions for
card processing and authorization systems
running on
IBM Mainframe platforms
. The role focuses on
CardLink, VSAM-based applications, COBOL, CICS, and JCL
, with a strong emphasis on
transaction authorization, fraud detection, and system stability
.
Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Analysis & Design
Analyze business requirements related to
card authorization, transaction processing, and fraud controls
.
Translate business needs into
functional and technical specifications
for mainframe-based systems.
Perform impact analysis for enhancements, regulatory changes, and production issues.
Mainframe & Card Systems
Work closely with development teams on
COBOL, CICS, JCL, and VSAM
applications.
Support and enhance
CardLink or card processing platforms
(ATM, POS, e-commerce).
Ensure high availability and performance of
real-time and batch card systems
.
Authorization & Fraud
Support
authorization logic
, limits management, velocity checks, and transaction routing.
Assist in implementation and enhancement of
fraud monitoring rules
and controls.
Analyze suspicious transactions and system behavior to support fraud investigation teams.
Testing & Implementation
Prepare
test scenarios, test data, and expected results
for SIT and UAT.
Support UAT with business users and ensure proper defect resolution.
Coordinate production deployment, post-implementation validation, and issue resolution.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
Liaise with
business users, vendors, and IT teams
to ensure alignment.
Support regulatory, audit, and compliance requirements related to card systems.
