About our group:

We are the global IT Infrastructure Operations team, available round the clock and support the operational of worldwide IT Infrastructure compute resources. Seagate Global Business Services is aligned to the process efficiency improvement and cost reduction digital strategy and helps to navigate the Transformative Age.

About the role - you will:

• Be supporting as the 24x7 shift IT Infra Operations administrator
• Be responsible for day-to-day operations and administration of RHE Linux and other Linux distribution, VMware and Windows in global IT infrastructure Global VMware environment optimization and resource monitoring
• Work on the global server deployment for both Linux and Windows
• Establish and maintain security integrity controls
• Formulate and monitor policies, procedures, and standards relating to the global server
• Patching of server operating system through tools like WSUS and Katello globally
• Produce documentation for tasks completed, according to established standards
• Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments

About you:

• Acquire full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways
• Good experience in Linux, Windows, VMware administration and understand different administration tool for each platform
• Good knowledge in networking, storage and hardware architecture
• Deep knowledge in Linux, Windows, and VMware administration
• Profound knowledge in RHEL, \xe2\x80\x8bOpen-Source tools/services, clustering and automation scripts
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Willing to work on rotating shift schedule, be flexible on working hours based on business needs rotating shift work
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervisor
• Qualification background of Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering

Your experience includes:

• Familiarity with Linux, preferably CentOS or RHEL administration with large scale remote deployment capabilities and managing at scale
• Systems Administration, particularly on Linux
• Linux, Windows, and VMware administration
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Well versed in patching, server deployment and remote console management
• Supporting large scale global infrastructure for ESXi host, KVM, or bare metal
• ITSM tool like ServiceNow or Remedy (added advantage)
