Job Title: Tandem EngineerJob Purpose:Provision of system administration support for the bank\xe2\x80\x99s Tandem credit cards servers. This is to ensure the continuous & healthy availability of the Tandem servers to support the bank\xe2\x80\x99s credit card business.Principle Accountabilities:Accountability:Tandem system administration.Supporting Activities:System health check to ensure Tandem systems are healthy.
Troubleshoot problems to minimize outages.
Build & install new Tandem systems.
Tandem systems configuration changes & upgrades.
Identify any potential opportunities for further improvement/system enhancement.
Tandem system analysis & performance tuning.Outcome / Deliverables:Prevent system outages.
Meeting prescribed SLA.Challenges:Maintaining service level with minimum resources & effort.
Cross functional requirements to work with other product lines.Education, Experience, Certifications, Specific Skills & Competencies:Education:Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field of study.Experience:6+ Years of Experience.
3 \xe2\x80\x93 5 Years of Experience in the support of Tandem systems with Infrastructure Architecture and Design.Job Specific Skills & Competencies Required:Experience/Skills Required:3 or more years supporting Tandem systems with Infrastructure Architecture and Design.
Development/Testing/Implementation of Tandem systems.
Strong oral & written communication skills.
Installation & setup of Tandem O/S.
Demonstrate ability to tune Tandem system software & provide recommendation for performance changes to CPU, memory & I/O.
Familiar with performance monitoring tools such as MEASURE & others.Experience in the following Tandem Subsystem Software:TMF

Web Viewpoint.Competencies Required:Tandem NonStop Kernel (NSK) O/S skills.
System Capacity Planning experience.
Skilled in HP NonStop Tandem systems & its subsystems.
Knowledge in supporting Tandem database, e.g. Enscribe.
Knowledge in computer network.
