Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, schedule, and execute Testing & Commissioning (T&C) activities in coordination with design, construction, quality, and safety teams. Review and understand technical specifications, drawings, and functional requirements for all relevant systems (e.g. trackwork, power supply, signalling, communications, ventilation, fire systems). Develop detailed T&C procedures, method statements, and testing protocols in alignment with project requirements and international standards. Coordinate with OEMs, vendors, subcontractors, and third-party testing agencies to ensure timely and accurate testing. Supervise onsite T&C activities, ensuring all tests are performed correctly and results are accurately recorded and reported. Identify, log, and follow up on any non-conformities, technical issues, or failures encountered during testing. Ensure all system interfaces are tested, integrated, and functioning as intended before final commissioning. Maintain comprehensive records and documentation for all T&C activities, including test reports, checklists, and certificates. Participate in factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and system performance tests (SPT). Support final system handover, trial runs, and readiness reviews for revenue service. Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental (HSE/QEHS) standards during all T&C works.

Requirements:Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics, or related Engineering disciplines.

Experience:

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Testing & Commissioning for rail or large-scale infrastructure projects. Hands-on experience with systems integration, testing protocols, and commissioning for MRT/LRT systems is highly preferred. Familiarity with relevant standards such as IEC, IEEE, EN, and local authority requirements (e.g. MRT Corp, SPAD, Prasarana for Malaysia).

Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of rail systems such as signaling, SCADA, communication, power supply, rolling stock, PSDs, and HVAC systems. Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and functional descriptions. Experience in test planning, report writing, and issue tracking during commissioning. Knowledge of safety procedures and risk assessments during T&C activities.

Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory):

Certification or training in railway safety and system integration. T&C-related safety certifications (e.g. PTW, confined space, electrical safety) are advantageous.

Other Competencies:

Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders. High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure, during night shifts or weekends, when required by the testing schedule. Willing to work for 6 days a week.

Pay: RM5,500.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
