UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub 2) is a newly set up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of UOB Group Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

About the Department

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.

Job Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the set up and maintaining of DevOps tools and delivery pipelines for Customer Management. This could be for projects, quarterly change requests, and L3 production fixes, supporting throughout the software development lifecycle, from analysis and design to development, implementation, testing and support.
You will also be responsible for quality assurance of the team delivery in conformance to the Bank-defined software delivery methodology and tools. You will partner closely with the Customer Management leads to plan and manage transitioned deliverables.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with the BA, infra, deployments and vendor teams.
  • Use and manage vendor augmented resources and ensure work assignments for high utilization and effective, quality outcomes while avoiding re-work
  • Drive technical innovation to enhance functional and technical capabilities of the platform
  • Build frameworks for configuration instead of code for each component
  • Communicate with technical and non-technical resources and work with limited direction while being highly productive
  • Apply standards and industry frameworks while leverage existing technologies and tools in the Bank
  • Implement solutions considering functionality, data, security, integration, infrastructure and performance.
  • Produce detailed design /low level design documents that communicate the system design effectively
  • Drive adherence to development, configuration management and deployment standards for solutions
  • Analyse performance test, vulnerability assessments and any other test related issues that arise during projects
  • Manage, address and resolve project-related technical issues in a timely fashion, ensuring necessary escalation and communication to stakeholders as necessary
  • Select, train, develop and manage technical team members in a conducive team environment
  • Lead multi-vendor teams to successfully deliver solutions
  • Guide the project team in issue resolution to meet the requirements and timelines
Job Requirements
  • Leadership experience in managing IT delivery teams and implementing large-scale project
  • At least 9 years of experience in actual systems development work, with prior coding, functional and technical specifications, systems development and testing experience
  • Have experience in coordinating deployment and troubleshoot deployment issues
  • Have experience in performing Code Review and Code Merge strategy
  • Able to provide guidance to vendor on code issues and changes (refactoring)
  • Closely work with vendor, including managing vendor developers (local and/or remote)
  • Lead a team of developer before (internal or external)
  • Good exposure in using BMC Control M, Oracle Wallet, PPRC, Data Guard, Kafka, Zookepper, Spark, Jboss, Weblogic, Websphere, IBM MQ, Apache, HTTP, Kerberos, HDFS, Hbase Hive
  • Experience in Branch Teller systems or Branch Operations is an added advantage
