Technical Lead / Manager (solar Design)

Job Description


(a) Technical

  • Able to guide the team through the design, testing and project stages and review the completed work effectively.
  • Provide direction and technical expertise in design, development, and systems integration.
  • Able to make quick decisions and solve technical problems to provide an efficient environment for project implementation.
  • Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Analyse economics of design solutions and provide actionable feedback relating to technical-cost benefit optimisation.
  • Lead the team in preparation of tender BOQ and cost for project tenders
  • Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the latest material and installation pricing
  • Familiar with latest standards and regulations and ensure compliance to it.
  • Apply significant knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to our clients.
  • Identify system deficiencies in Technical team and implements effective solutions.
  • Improve, communicate, and enforce design standards.
  • Provide technical support to operational functions in the most efficient manner for all concerned.
  • Ensure teams follow the correct procedures, policies, and documentation requirements across project phases.
  • Consistently delivers high-quality services to stakeholders in timely manner.
(b) Management
  • Identify resource and equipment requirements, efficient capacity planning and manage software and hardware availability within budget and schedule.
  • Improve the effectiveness of the department\xe2\x80\x99s internal systems, increasing efficiency and reducing administrative overhead.
  • Provide technical training to teams when required and serve as a technical mentor to team members.
  • Attract, retain, grow, and motivate people for career progression and to achieve targets.
  • Performance management of team members.
  • Strategize and execute development plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Work closely with Managers of other associated departments during all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Report regularly to superior on key aspects of the business, in accordance with routine and ad-hoc reporting requirements.
Requirements: Academic Qualification :
  • Minimum Bachelor of Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • SEDA GCPV PV System Design qualified or equivalent.
Experiences :
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in PV industry.
  • Experience in electrical power system and medium voltage system is added advantage.
  • Experience in Large Scale Solar(LSS) projects
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in leading/supervising/managing a team in the relevant field, including development work and interaction with customers.
  • Extensive leadership experience and strong teaming abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strategic thinker.
