The Technician supports the Project Department in the installation, commissioning of solar PV systems. This role ensures all project activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with industry standards and company requirements.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Installation & Commissioning
Assist in the installation of solar PV modules, inverters, mounting structures, cabling, and related electrical components.
Perform wiring, termination, and connection according to electrical standards.
Support testing and commissioning of completed solar systems.
Ensure proper documentation of installation activities.
B. Site Work & Support
Conduct site surveys and assessments with the project team.
Prepare tools, equipment, and materials required for daily tasks.
Assist in the preparation of site reports and progress updates.
Follow instructions from the Project Engineer/Project Manager to ensure smooth project workflow.
C. Safety & Compliance
Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations at the worksite.
Ensure proper use of PPE and tools.
Follow company SOPs, QA/QC requirements, and project documentation standards.
3. Requirements
Education & Experience
Certificate/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or related field.
Experience in solar PV is an added advantage.
Fresh graduates or trainees are encouraged to apply (optional).
Skills
Basic understanding of solar PV systems and electrical components.
Ability to read simple electrical drawings is an advantage.
Physically fit and able to work at heights or outdoor environments.
Personal Qualities
Responsible, hardworking, and willing to learn.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Willing to travel or work on weekends when required.
