: JOB DESCRIPTION . Ensure the effectiveness of the Group's management of legal, regulatory compliance and technology risk issues through the application of the appropriate and effective frameworks and procedures and ensure that legal, regulatory compliance and technology risks are anticipated, identified, escalated and reported to stakeholders, mitigated and managed so as to avoid any financial and reputational loss. . Develop risk assessment reports and recommendations for the senior management . Strengthen operational risk policies and procedures to ensure they reflect best practice . Drive governance awareness on internal and external compliance policies and guidelines. . To instill governance and 'risk aware' culture with the team . Aggregate and analyze risk events reported to develop approaches to counter them and develop a playbook for similar scenarios . Advise management on identified risk-events and recommend improvements to ensure they don't reoccur . Closely monitor the implementation of action plans to address key risk indicators . Participate, when necessary, in Anti-Fraud committees which includes fraud correspondents across the organization . Participate in product development and project implementation to provide guidance on risk, regulatory and compliance matters and serve as the conduit between the Group Risk and Group Legal and Compliance Team EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS . Degree holder or equivalent PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS . Preference for professional or post graduate qualifications e.g. chartered accountant, CFA, MBA, LLB RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE . Minimum 5 years work experience with relevant experience of a risk/audit/compliance/legal related role and of working within the relevant business/function preferred. CORE COMPETENCIES . Excellent communication skills both, verbal and written. . An understanding of risk drivers and ability to articulate risk to non-risk personnel. . Able to work autonomously . Understanding of how a bank operates front to back . Good presentational skills
