The Position Warehouse Manager

Job Summary

To lead local warehouse and planning team, manages and supervises all warehousing and inventory planning activities, instil best supply chain practices culture, develop/deploy effective strategies and support regional Supply Chain on optimization of initiatives in order to achieve both local and regional businesses\xe2\x80\x99 goals while ensures the delivery of Imerys clients on time and in full.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Define and apply in-country warehousing and planning strategy/policy and support regional initiatives

Develop and implement the best warehousing practices (including Safety and Sustainable development)

Set departmental budget/ metric and review with the team regularly and lead the entire team members to achieve the performance metrics.

Bring market knowledge and ideas with continuous research for improvements of current process.

Reduce in-country main variable costs (handling wastage reduction, optimization of storage space, efficient operating method, services, capex categories) with Total Cost of Ownership approach

Contribute to working capital improvement

Improve operation quality: optimize process and increase coverage, anticipates key issues with advance resolutions.

Manage in-country warehouse and planning team to ensure meeting OTIF set, minimizes costs with inventory management and optimization activities

Consistently and promptly input data required for country S&OP process

Training and coaching team members for better performance.

Act as the company\'s advisor on all matters relating to the warehousing function

Close collaboration with other functions in particular Industrial & SC Operations, EHS, Sales, I.T, S&OP leader, Purchasing and Finance

Improve usage of ERP, maintain high accuracy of inventory database and all related information in order to optimize work efficiency and decision making process

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education:

Minimum Diploma in Supply Chain/Business/Logistics/Warehousing/Planning related Discipline

Experience :

At least 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehouse and Planning related field

Industrial experience preferred with knowledge in ERP System, inventory management, planning

Dynamic, hard worker, open minded & result oriented

Good interpersonal skills with ability to work in a cross functional and regional team environment and able to build good relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.

Excellent integrity and ethical standards.

High level of professionalism

Good people management skills, ability to influence others w/o direct reporting lines

Customer oriented profile

Computer skills required (Google Suites, ERP, etc)

Languages :

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Malay, Conversing in other language is an added advantage
