The CompanyOur client is a cold chain logistics service provider that provides end-to-end supply chain management solutions.Reporting to the General Manager, the Warehouse Manager will be responsible to direct and oversee the storage and operations of the warehouse and related facilities. Manage warehouse employees, inspecting good, ensure effective operations, handling customer request, oversee safety and other related responsibilities. The Warehouse Manager will be based in Bukit Minyak, Penang.The Role

• Overall daily operations of the warehouse including physical inbound and outbound activities, inventory management and accuracy, safety, and quality.
• Optimize use of warehouse space and layout to avoid overflow storage and additional costs and maintain stock accuracy.
• Implement and promote a strategic plan for continuous improvement in warehouse activities.
• Maintain warehouse physical condition to plan and implement new design layout, inspecting equipment, issuing work orders for repair or replacement.
• Minimize downtime, coordinate maintenance scheduled for facilities, equipment, infrastructure, and system breakdowns.
• Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitor security procedures and protocols and adhere to safe-workplace procedures in the warehouse.
• Maintain warehouse staff by recruiting, orienting, coordinating training for employees, and appraising job performance.
• Maintain compliance of Halal and Malaysia regulations relating to warehouse, advising to management on needed actions.
• Prepare annual budget, schedule expenditures, analyze variances, initiate corrective action to achieve financial objectives.
• Other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the superior.

The Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of managerial experiences in the logistics industry with cold chain and bonded warehouse management.
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail and good decision-making skills.
• Proficient in Mandarin language is an added advantage.
• Possess own transport and able to travel.
