Key Responsibilities

  • Communicates with existing customers and manages accounts to ensure customer satisfaction. Maintains existing business by developing and presenting value propositions to existing customers.
  • Partners with colleagues in functional areas including, but not limited to: Production, Customer Service, Accounts Receivable, and Logistics in order to provide the best customer service possible.
  • Assists sales managers and/or directors to achieve sales goals.
  • Creates detailed price quotes for account manager review or presentation to assigned prospective clients.
  • Creates and delivers presentations to internal and external customers, along with samples and prototypes.
  • May execute re-pricing action for underperforming accounts when necessary.
  • Maintains relationships with plants that service customers in the assigned territory, product area, or accounts.
  • Maintains price schedules and contract files; administers customer contracts and contract amendments.
  • May complete additional sales activities including, but not limited to: written and electronic correspondence, handling telephone inquiries, relaying customer messages, and updating paperwork and reporting systems.
  • Assists in the preparation and updating of account plans. Manages pricing of products and services for internal and external publications, as well as contract pricing changes and new price quotes.
  • Negotiates and manages relationships with assigned customers and provides onboarding support to new customers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • Typically possesses a Bachelor\'s degree and 3-5 years of experience.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Possesses solid sales experience; industrial sales experience a plus.
  • Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Possesses excellent time management and planning skills.
  • Ability to perform cold customer calls and follow up on leads.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and any other relevant software.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills.
  • Travel may be required.
