Support the Head of Shariah Review & Assurance in meeting CIMB Group\'s Islamic Banking business and strategic objectives
To execute the Annual Review work plans as per the approved annual compliance work plan and adhoc request by the relevant authorities e.g. BNM, the relevant Boards and Senior Management
To ensure such execution is in line with the internal methodologies and framework
To perform in-depth investigation and analysis on the Shariah issues and potential Shariah non-compliance related based on Shariah considerations, Regulatory requirements and the application of any other methodologies acceptable and recognised by Shariah
To ensure that the investigation is supported with adequate Shariah and regulatory justifications. Where necessary, to conduct sufficient research on the subject matter to form the basis of the opinion
To prepare and review PSNC report/memo and ensure it is completed and submitted on-time to Shariah Committee, Board and BNM (where required)
To work closely with Shariah Assurance on the relevant Shariah Review & Assurance related matters
Assume active involvement in management of critical issues and provide solutions, where needed
Perform any other responsibilities/ tasks as assigned by the Regional Head from time to time
