Critical Success Factors:

• The Bilal is responsible for performing the Adhan (call to prayer) at the designated times for the five (5) daily prayers and Jumu\'ah (Friday) prayers. Additionally the Bilal supports the Imam and Musalla management in maintaining the environment, assisting with congregational prayers and ensuring the smooth running of religious services.

Key Accountabilities, Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform the Adhan at the correct times for the five (5) daily prayers and call the Iqamah before each congregational prayer to signal the start of the prayer.
• Assisting the Imam in organizing the rows of worshippers during congregational prayers.
• Lead the prayer in the absence of the Imam if required and if qualified.
• Ensure the prayer space is prepared and clean before each prayer session.
• Help in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the mosque premises including prayer areas, wudu (ablution) facilities and restrooms.
• Arrange prayer mats and other necessary items for prayer services.
• Assist in organizing and facilitating community events and programs within the mosque.
• Assist the mosque management in the setup and organization of religious events, lectures and classes.
• Help with the management of the mosque\'s sound system for the Adhan and other announcement.

Job Competence Profile:

• Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia or Diploma in Islamic Studies or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Understanding of proper timing and procedure for Adhan and Iqamah. Basic knowledge of Islamic practices and prayer rituals.
• Clear and melodious voice for calling the Adhan. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Prior experience in a similar role is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Punctuality, reliability and a deep sense of responsibility towards the role. A strong commitment to serving the mosque community.
