  • Prepare SESCO monthly Management Report, Profit Segmentation Report, Dashboard, Government Report and the comprehensive data analysis completely, timely and accurately to provide data driven insights and time-sensitive business and operational performance information for shaping strategic business decisions.
  • Prepare the quarterly Business Performance Appraisal pack and facilitate the Business Performance Appraisal sessions for SESCO.
  • Understand business requirements and translate them effectively into data management requirements.
  • Involve in data visualisation via dashboarding and infographics, business intelligence tools to report the organisational performance and convey business the insight with predictive analysis and forecasting to improve businesses.
  • Identify opportunities/areas of improvement, root causes of issues, and implementing necessary operational changes (value creation and performance improvement projects) and deliver measurable improvements alongside with other departments/functions to improve efficiency and productivity as well as enable the business to perform to its optimum ability and deliver value.
  • Work on the integration of information and performance management systems.
  • Ensure departmental goals and objectives are align with Sarawak Energy\'s Strategic Plan and related benchmarks by assist in developing and revising performance measures and initiatives; tracking and monitoring performance measures via value management, collecting and analyzing performance data.
  • Lead the team in designing an effective internal control system and developing processes to monitor the effectiveness of risk management and internal controls processes and remediate as necessary.
  • Monitor the internal control and process maintenance to safeguard assets of the Group including fixed assets, inventories, leased assets, receivables, assets purchased with government funds/grants assuring all are in accordance with relevant regulations.
  • Well verse in accounting standards, internal controls, corporate governance and assist to solve complex accounting issues, perform technical research on impact analysis and gap analysis in particular new accounting standards, new business activities etc and prepare for the presentation to management.
  • Analyze the financial statements of competitors, customers and contractors/suppliers and monitor trends over time to provide input to the planning, budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Carry out such other assignments and duties as instructed by the manager/superior from time to time.
  • Encourage continuous improvement and guide colleagues on how to maximize benefits and value creation.
  • Discourage functional silos and promoting an integrated approach to performance management

QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE (KNOW-HOW):
  • Recognized degree in the field of Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or equivalent.
  • Preference would be given to member of the Chartered Global Management Accountant / Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (\xe2\x80\x9cCIMA\xe2\x80\x9d).
  • Minimum 8 years of related experience in strategic planning, performance management, change management or total quality management.
  • Six Sigma or other process improvement certification will be an added advantage.
  • Technical, operational knowledge and skills in utilities industry and business processes.
  • Knowledge and experience of SAP Project System Module (PS), SAP Plant Maintenance Module (PM), SAP Material Management Module (MM), SAP Financial & Control Module (FICO) and ISUCCS Module are advantages.
  • Knowledge and effective compliance of the latest Malaysian Financial Reporting Standard (MFRS), Tax Rulings and Companies Act.
  • Strong business assessment methodologies and analytical skill of financial statements.
  • Strong business budgeting review skill.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) and skill in Microsoft Office application programs.
  • Strong analytical skills to cut through complexity.
