Implement and manage global and/or local ocean freight products and trade lanes/networks, as well as the procurement strategy for FCL and LCL products.
Identify potential business opportunities by reaching out to prospective customers from different countries.
Adhere to approved budgets, sales volumes, and timelines for all sales and marketing activities.
Maintain consistently high operational standards to ensure customer satisfaction.
Keep track of daily operational productivity and profitability, ensuring service quality and fostering a skilled workforce.
Collaborate closely with the Customer Service team to ensure smooth and timely delivery of services.
Foster positive relationships with vendors, suppliers, agents, and government agencies to achieve export objectives.
Oversee and provide necessary training and development for the Ocean Export team.
Monitor ocean export scheduling and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for strategic delivery planning.
Regularly review and enhance the efficiency of the Ocean Export team and logistics Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Ensure all tasks and activities are conducted professionally, ethically, and with timely execution.
Requirements
A minimum of a bachelors degree, preferably with a major in Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management.
A preferred minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in the Logistics/Freight Forwarding field.
Extensive expertise in handling various shipment types, including LCL, FCL, Transhipment, and Nomination shipments.
Candidates with experience in the forwarders/shipping line industry will be given priority.
Strong exposure to international market segments, particularly USA trade lanes.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Candidates with exposure to multinational corporations (MNCs) and/or public listed companies are preferred.
