Job Description

• Oversee the execution of global and/or local ocean freight products and trade lanes/networks, along with the procurement strategy for FCL and LCL products.

• Ensure the consistent attainment of operational standards to meet customers demands and expectations.

• Manage daily operational productivity, profitability, and service quality, while also focusing on the development of skilled manpower.

• Monitor and respond to customer feedback to maintain excellent customer relationships within the Export department.

• Provide valuable support to vendors, suppliers, agents, and government agencies to facilitate the achievement of export department objectives. This includes handling accurate accounting functions related to billing, distribution, and fund collection.

• Play a key role in maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, such as ocean carriers, trucking companies, and other relevant stakeholders.

• Oversee and assess the training and development needs of the Ocean Export team, ensuring their continuous growth and improvement.

• A minimum of a bachelors degree, preferably with a major in Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management.

• Ideally, candidates should possess 5-8 years of working experience in the Logistics/Freight Forwarding industry.

• Prior experience in a global forwarding/logistics company is highly desirable.

• Strong expertise in handling various shipment types, including LCL, FCL, Transhipment, and Nomination shipments.

• Candidates with a background in the forwarders/shipping line industry will be given priority.

• Extensive exposure to international market segments, particularly in USA trade lanes.

• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are essential.

• Preferably, candidates with exposure to multinational corporations (MNCs) and/or public listed companies.
